Eyelashes

Evening Beauties!

Two posts in one day, what's going on? Well I just wanted to show off these gorgeous Shu Uemera eyelashes, as they don't get out enough, and it's such a shame to keep them shut away in a drawer!

Here they are close-up :) On the left here is one of the Goldglam Leaf Lashes which were part of a collection last year and cost something ridiculous like £70! Not for me though... I snatched this pair up on eBay, complete with glue for £18 (I think. It was a while ago). I last wore them as part of my Hallowe'en make-up, where I did a peacock effect on one eye - details on that when I have a spare few hours :p.

These are the Dazzling Black Diamante eyelashes, which are currently available to buy at £18.50, the same price as the pair below. Again, I cheated by buying them on eBay, and managed to get both pairs for £25 (not including p+p). As I haven't worn them yet, I'm definitely glad I didn't pay full price! I'm sure I will very soon, as the black diamante detail across the lash band is so pretty.

I've seen these Black Velvet Feather lashes a lot on other blogs, and I'm so glad I bought them as they're sooooooo soft. Seriously think that if I wear them I'll just have my eyes shut for the whole time, or do something weird like stroke my face up against other people just so they can feel it too (sharing is caring). Ahem.

So anyway, this is my lash collection, but I hardly ever wear them! I need more opportunities to show them off. I know that eyelashes can be fiendishly difficult to put on properly without practice, which can put some people off - until now.

This is the Hollywood lash kit from e.l.f., which I saw on Lauren's blog originally, and fell for completely! Seriously, a work of genius. It contains a pair of lashes, an applicator, lash glue and a lash stand, all for just £3.50, and is definitely on my wish list.

What's the best beauty buy you've made on eBay?

30 Day Challenge

Hey Beauties!

I've had a looong day at college, but just had a look through some of your new blog entries, and saw this on Lauren's blog, so thought I'd have a go!

Day 01 – A recent picture of you and 15 interesting facts about yourself

This picture is of me (on the right), with Marlis at her party; it was both of our birthdays! I may have been a little drunk...
Now, some facts. Hmmm:
  1. I'm fairly flexible. In fact, I can hold my nose with my toes, but I'm not sure that's something to be proud of!
  2. I was in a Radio 4 play when I was 9.
  3. I have two older brothers. One of them lives in Borneo atm.
  4. I am a quarter Polish, quarter Irish, and half English.
  5. I ADORE scary movies. One of my favourites is Braindead, which is also hilarious!
  6. I speak a bit of Russian, Italian, Spanish, and French, and studied Ancient Greek and Latin at school 8-).
  7. I still can't face eating lamb, because of my childhood toy lamb, Lambie... I'm now 21 :s.
  8. I started boarding school at the age of 7. May explain a few things.
  9. I volunteered at Oxfam for 2 years, and now volunteer at a primary school. I love volunteering!
  10. I am completely prepared to make a fool of myself all the time. When people ask "what's the most embarrassing thing you've ever done?", it takes me a while to answer. There are many to choose from.
  11. Apparently I was born with a small, healed spina bifida. Scary stuff.
  12. I love baths, and don't think that's anything unusual for a girl, but give me a book and a bottle of wine, and I can happily spend 3 hours in there...
  13. I can't really ride a bike. Last time I tried, I took all the skin off my left shin.
  14. I directed a school play when I was 17. It was appaling!
  15. I have a filthy mind. Someone once said "You're only young once, but you can be immature forever!" So true.
Didn't think I'd be able to come up with 15 things! I'm really actually very boring. But anyways, that's done. Coming tomorrow:
Day 02 – The meaning behind your Blog name

Hope y'all had a good day!
